Connecting Desktop to Server

I'm having issues connecting a desktop to the server. I finally was able to add it to the domain, so I'm running off the "LinearMortgage.local" network, but when I go to Network on the PC, it only shows two of the other users machines on the Network, not the server or any of the other users PCs. The server dashboard isn't picking up the computer either. I can see it in the Server Manager>Active Users and Computers, but not in the dashboard.

I had some issues with remote desktop, which in short led to me removing the machine from the domain. I am an admin, and I could remote into the Server, but not my PC. It was telling me my credentials were wrong, even though they're the same ones that I used to successfully login to the server. At the probably bad advise of an IT person, I removed it. Now all my profile is gone, and I could only login to the PC as the default admin. I created a new user, but that doesn't seem to make any difference.

After lots of googling, and troubleshooting, I finally was able to get it back on the domain...but I don't have access to any of the shared files on the server.

I can ping the server from my PC, but cannot ping the PC from the server. Even though I can see it in Server Manager, but again...not in the Dashboard.

I've enabled Network Sharing. As to the deleted profile, I've tried the 3 main ways to recover it, that are online, but none worked. The original IT guy never set up restore points. Through one of the processes I found online, I was able to see all the settings and preferences, but it wouldn't allow me to copy and paste them as the directions said to do.

So basically; I'm assuming that the Server not being able to ping the PC, is the reason for not being able to remote desktop.

How is it I can see it from the Manager, but not the Dashboard though...and I'm running of the local domain?
