We have Windows Terminal Server (Windows 2008 Std. Edn. R2 - SP1) connecting to the fax server on windows server 2003. When the user disconnect from the TS session and connect back the windows fax and scan will not work. when the user disconnect then The Fax service entered the Stopped state. when the user connects back fax will not work. but when the user logoff and login then The fax server service entered the Running State and the fax works. We tried to update windows in fax server and terminal servers. As an alternative, we installed a new windows 2008 and configured with windows fax and scan but still we received the same issue.
Noted the event ID 7036.
We don't understand the reason but when the user logoff and login it works fine.
