Windows Server 2019 Network Teaming
hello and good evening everybody,
we are evaluate windows 2019 DC and Standard Editions, I could not find Network Teaming option in roles or features or even option in control panel, I did contact HP regarding Network.config.utility app, and they respond with:
Network Configuration Utility is No Longer Available Within Microsoft Server 2012 and above Operating Systems, However, it is also not necessary because NIC teaming is now built into server 2012 and above. "silly".

Added AD Domain Services and Lightweight Directory Services Tools but can't find where to run
Have installed through optional features but Server Manager is not installed. Install date is also odd, 1/01/1601.
Windows version 1903 build 18351.7
Also not listed in optional features installed.
Any ideas?

I have gone through this link https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/azure-monitor/learn/quick-collect-windows-computer#install-the-agent-for-windows but not finding the steps mentioned here.
Like I am not finding Windows Servers ,Download Windows Agent etc.
Looks like this link is not for Win server 2008 standard.
Appreciate if some one can detail me w.r.t win server 2008 standard .
BTW I am doing this to analyse the event viewer log in our 'win server 2008 standard' on Azure Log Analytcs.

Task Manager task completed, but nothing happens
Hi, I have a daily task scheduled to run a .bat program. When I run it, it says it has completed, but when I look at my output folder, I see that nothing happened. I have almost identical tasks that work perfectly fine, except for this one and I can't explain why.
Here is the .bat script:
start sqlcmd -S MS-SQL -i C:\Path\ToFile.sql
The SQL query is supposed to bcp out a file:
EXEC master.dbo.xp_cmdshell 'bcp DataBase.dbo.Table out C:\ExportData\DataBase\Table.txt -c -T'
The only thing different I'm doing with this task is I had to put the .sql file in double quotes and also put a starting path, which I don't understand why I had to do either. If I just left it as the full path, it would return a (0x1) error.

Duplicidad de quipos en red
Hola, tengo un problema hace varios dias, los equipos en la red se duplicaron, hasta el servidor.
Lo peor que cuando abres el duplicado o el original ambos habren sin ningun problema, pero presentan conflictos al momento de ejecutar programas contables etc.
El duplicado termina con una extención EIRL.

Hi Folks,
I have Windows Server 2012 Datacenter R2 hosted on VMware ESXI host. I am getting this error ' Server Manager is collecting inventory data. Wizard will be available after data collection finishes' whenever I try and click on Server Manager -> Add roles and Features tab.
Please help me trouble shoot same with some remedial actions.

Services Randomly Stopping
For the past week or so, on our file server (2008 R2 64bit VMWare virtual) the DFS Namespace service as well as the server service has been stopping randomly. When it occurs, they normally both stop within a few seconds of each other. The server service appears to be restarting itself, but we have to manually enable the DFS namespace service again.
I can't see any rhyme or reason with the other logs as to an error or anything that could be causing this.

server manager crashing
We had updated quickbooks and installed a windows .net frame of 4.7. Server manager then was crashing. We have uninstalled quickbooks and removed all updates since that previous date. Server manager still continues to crash. This is the CLR20r3 error we are getting. How does this get resolved?

Select a certificate to authenticate yourself to SERVERNAME:443
Hi All,
I get the message prompt as below when I try to access https://xxxxxxx/adfs/ls/IdpInitiatedSignon.aspx. The message keep ask me to select the certificate before directed me to login page.
If I select the certificate, my sign in page could not be loaded.
So, I need to press cancel in order for the page to load successfully.
This only happen when I try to access externally.
FYI, i am using ADFS 3.0. So I am not sure where to start the troubleshooting. Is it something wrong on my WAP server?

Kerberos authentication error!
Hi all guys!
I have DC which is Windows Server Enter. Core 2016 and DNS which is Windows Server Enter. 2016 desktop experience and 1 windows client that is Windows 10. I want to add AD to DNS' Server manager and get below error. Good to know that I have access to AD with windows administration tool on Win10 but any try to adding this server to Server Manager was unsuccessful. I have Firewall GPO and other thing from DC as Sanp in in the DNS Windows server and they are working well without problem!
Any help for solving this problem is appreciated. I have tried GPOs , SPN, Trusted Host and even two times deleting DNS' computer account on AD and joining again but the same problem coming up after adding AD i Server Manager in DNS

How to make auto start/stop VirtualBox VM (ubuntu) during Windows host start/shutdown
Hi,
I am looking for the solution to gracefully shutdown one of the existing service/process before the windows shutdown event being triggered.
The issue is whenever i call the batch file(which invokes the shutdown of the VirtualBoxManager.exe) during shutdown event, it kills the process and this results the state of the VM will become Abort.
However we would like to shutdown the running process (and it will take upto 10-30 seconds) before actually invoke the windows shutdown.
is there way to execute the script (to perform graceful shutdown of VM) and delay the windows shutdown event for a while and invoke the window shutdown next.
Kindly advise.

Server Manager Roles and Features fail to refresh. Server 2008 R2

When I open Server Manager, I have no Roles and no Features. Both show only ": Error"
I know there are problems with my .NET 4.7.2 installation installation because it can't be repaired and can't be uninstalled. What I don't know is whether Server Manager depends on .NET.
Most Windows Updates download and install OK EXCEPT those for .NET. SFC reports no inconsistencies. System Readiness Tool fails. NetFxRepairTool.exe fails with "unable to resolve the installation issue on your computer". WindowsUpdate.diagcab fails. Firewall is disabled. Defender service is disabled. I've re-registered all .DLL files in Windows\System32\.

Windows server 2012 R2, PDC, event id 12344 SRMSVC
Hi,
I have 2 servers, 1 is 2016 and the other is 2012 R2. I believe both of them are PDC or at least the 2016 is. Everything was set up for 2 years and have been running fine. Now, suddenly we have this event id 12344 SRMSVC.
I read some articles advising to run schema update. I'm sure we already ran it when we upgrade the network 2 years ago.
Please help. The message shows up inconsistently in terms of timing.

ServerManager.exe - This application could not be started. - Windows Server 2012 R2
Hello All,
We have a Dell Precision M4800 installed with Windows Server 2012 R2, and we are unable to get the Server Manager working. When we click on ServerManager, the below error occurs,
Error Message: ServerManager.exe - This application could not be started.
Action Taken:
1. Windows Updates, and Windows Security Updates are up-to-date, rebooted
2. Display Drivers are updated, rebooted
3. .NET Framework 4.5.2 is updated, rebooted
Still the same error. Please assist.

Windows server 2012r2 failure to output Graphic signal
Hello, Expert,
HPE Microserver gen10 running windows sever 2012r2 well.
Today, I add AD role and Promo DC. process running well without error.
after restart, it failure to output graphic signal.
confirm hardware all fine(cable or graphic card).
I force restart to Bios to boot from BOOT CD. output Graphic signal is fine.
select OS to boot. Monitor showsnothing. It sounds OS is boot successfully, due to Teamviewer can see it online remotely.
In my experience for adding AD DC. it always goes fine.
Now this phenomena is strange to me. I am afraid of even reinstall OS. it will non-graphic again if i do not get the reason.
Is there a check box for disabling for graphic output during set as DC?
