Can the windows FTP server allow multiple connections with the same username?
I set up my FTP server on my local machine (Windows 7) using the IIS Manage with anonymous authentication. I am able to connect and transfer files from my other computer but the AutoFTP software will only send 1 file at a time. I have the transfer settings in the software set to "Use maximum transfer channels allowed by FTP account" but yet it only sends one file. The support for the Auto FTP software said that the software can send up to 5 files at a time as long as the FTP server allows multiple connections with the same user name.
In IIS Manager under advanced my "Maximum concurrent connections" is set to 4294967295. Can someone let me know if I am missing something here.

but sometime . I can't loggin user on client's computer

MMC Console options : User mode-full access vs User mode-limited access, multiple windows
Hi,
I'm trying to find out what really is the difference between the two MMC console options :
- User mode-full access
- User mode-limited access, multiple windows
I did create two console with respectively the two options and did read many articles on the subject. But, unfortunately ; I did not see what really is the difference between the two options.

Problem with features and roles on Windows Server 2008
I'm receiving an unexpected error when I try to add a role or a feature.

Didn't work. In the server manager there's a message at the bottom which says Last Update:Error. It's the HRESULT: 0x800F0823
I don't know what else to do.

Identity Management for Unix Role
Hi,
I have a 12 DCs on my network and each site has 4 DCs. I want to add the IMU role, do I have to install it on one DC on the site or install it on all DCs in all sites. Is it okay to install this role on just one DC and unix devices can use this one DC?

Any experience with buying refurbished servers? Or a total solution including recycling of old servers?
One of our new IT guys is pushing us to try a local (Houston based) company for some upgrades, and potentially buy some refurbished servers as well. The company will also buy our old equipment and recycle what can't be re-used I guess. I have a concern on quality, but it seems more and more of the IT guys we deal with are going this route.<o:p></o:p>
Is it just to save money? Is quality an issue with someone offering a good warranty? I know our "green" people want certificates and stuff for any e-solutions and green initiatives we do, so at least we can keep them happy if we go this route for asset disposition.<o:p></o:p>
Has anyone used the company Server Monkey at smky.io/ITGEARtt to source upgrades or configure a server? On the asset disposition side, we usually wipe our own drives and then just sell them on craigslist or whatever. This place offers data wiping and other services that we probably should be using, but I am always skeptical to use new services... Any guidance is appreciated.<o:p></o:p>

How to update old Server OS culture date format to latest Server OS culture Date format
Hi ,
- Windows has “Region and language” setting and it has some fix date format which is used by C# code at the run time. Which is different for Azure and IIS(server 2008 r2). Due to this, it is not working properly.
I am changing culture thread at the run time - It is working fine for other culture but for en-CA it is not working properly due to conflict with format present in latest OS date format and Server 2008 r2 format. We are running windows 10 on Local machine which has also update format. Also we are deploying our application on Azure, which has Server 2012 r2.
Both Local and Azure not producing this bug but on server 2008 it is reproducible.
Could you guys please help me how to solve this problem without updating server OS.

Unable to create remote share via File and Storage Services
I have two freshly installed Windows Server 2012 R2 servers that were joined to a 2008 domain (the existing 2008 and 2008 R2 DCs have been demoted but I haven't raised the AD functional level). One of the new DCs was installed without the GUI, so no Server Manager. When I use Server Manager to create a share on this DC from the other DC or a Windows 8.1 system with RSAT, I get the error:
Cannot connect to the C$ admin share to verify if folder 'C:\Shares\sharename' exists on computer 'DCName'.
Regardless of the drive or folder I choose for the SMB share, the same error occurs. I can create shares through Computer Management or PowerShell via RDC, but just not remotely with Server Manager. I have searched extensively for both this error and the event log errors (below) and have come up with less than half a dozen results and none apply to my situation. The reason I need this to work is that the client is uncomfortable with using console (oops, sorry, I mean command prompt) commands so being able to control things like access-based enumeration via a GUI tool would be helpful.
I have not changed drive or admin share permissions at all from defaults. I have used Group Policy to enable every built-in remote management firewall rule I could find. All updates installed. There are 3 errors that appear in the event log when this happens,
all with ID 0 (posted below). I am fairly sure this has something to do with the old domain controllers, and I suspected a GPO was the culprit, but even after disabling all existing GPOs and doing a "gpupdate /force", the issue remained. Still, I
know that removing an offending GPO doesn't always mean the system will revert to default settings, so I can't rule out that possibility entirely, but I can see nothing in any of them that should have effected this to my knowledge (it was mostly common stuff
like folder redirection, Offline Files policies, and NTP settings).

This is my first post on TechNet in 22 years in the field. While I am more experienced with Linux than Windows, I still manage Windows domains regularly and have never had an issue I couldn't figure out before now.
Update: those errors are all from the "Microsoft-Windows-FileServices-ServerManager-EventProvider/Operational" log if that matters.

Server Manager 2012 is not starting.
When starting server manager in server 2012, I getting below message. Can not start server manager from any command. If you press Yes on the screen it shows the solution for windows 7. I tried that one but did not work. Can any body help me to solve this problem.

Windows 2012 R2 Task Scheduler
I have three questions about Task Scheduler on Windows 2012 R2 and I hope someone would educate me, thx
1. How do I enable History? by default, it is disabled. It says online that select a task scheduler, in Actions, enable all history, but no such item 'Enable History' in any drop-down menu in Task Scheduler.
2. I schedule a ps1 script to copy file from local to remote server and it got error 0x103! Is there a site at Microsoft that lists all the error code for windows 2012 r2 task scheduler? I don't have much luck looking for that!
3. What Event ID would be for Task Scheduler?

Trust between two ADs (2003 R2 and 2012)

i have two different DC, one is 2003 R2 and another is 2012 R2. Both have AD configured and both are in same subnets, actual users are same in both ADs, but the username is different. Now i want to see one AD user's configuration profile in another AD, how can i do that? Please guide me.
